Job summary

USG is seeking an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership and employees at our manufacturing location. You will drive talent acquisition, employee relations, workforce development, benefits administration, and engagement to align HR with business goals.

You will provide hands-on HR support, partner with management to implement training programs, manage leave and benefits, and contribute to safety, performance, and culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, Organizational Leadership, or a related field required.
• Two to five years of Human Resources experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment, is preferred.
• Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and HR compliance activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop and maintain hourly and salaried job descriptions.
• Support recruitment efforts by collaborating with HRSC, Talent Management, and hiring managers.
• Participate in sourcing, interviewing, and candidate selection activities.
• Assist with college recruiting and workforce development initiatives as needed.
• Support the development and extension of employment offers.
• Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees.
• Support leadership development, succession planning, and employee growth initiatives.
• Deliver employee and supervisor training programs.
• Coordinate and support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Provide coaching to supervisors on development and performance management.
• Prepare reports, metrics, and documentation for HR and business leaders.
