Job summary

Golden Pet Manufacturing is seeking an HR Manager in Seward, NE to lead recruiting, staffing, onboarding, and employee relations at the plant. You will guide leaders on complex HR issues, drive performance and bonus planning, and build bench strength with succession planning.

You will ensure audit-ready files and compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and wage-hour laws while mentoring the HR team and maintaining strong on-floor presence with production leadership.

Qualifications

• Manage recruiting, staffing and onboarding for all employees at the manufacturing plant.
• Provide expertise and direction to leaders on complex employee relations issues.
• Support performance review, merit and bonus planning cycles; manage communications to employees and train leaders.
• Partner with leaders to identify high-potential employees and skill gaps to build bench strength.
• Partner with EHS on workers' compensation reporting and management.
• Maintain audit-ready files and ensure compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC and wage/hour laws.
• Provide leadership and development for the plant's HR team.
• Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and build relationships with leaders and staff.
• Serve as the facility's primary HR partner for workforce planning and people decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the recruiting, staffing, and onboarding for all employees at the manufacturing plant
• Provide expertise and direction to leaders on challenging and complex employee relations issues
• Support the plant's performance review, merit planning, and bonus planning cycles, including managing communication to employees and providing direction and training to leaders
• Partner with leaders to identify high potential employees or gaps in skills, build succession depth and bench strength to the teams
• Partner with EHS on the reporting and management of workers' compensation cases
• Maintain accurate and audit-ready files and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment law, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and applicable wage and hour requirements
• Provide leadership, direction and development opportunities to the plant's HR team
• Maintain a visible, trusted presence on the production floor, building relationships with leaders and employees
• Serve as the facility's primary HR partner to plant leadership on workforce planning, people decisions, employee development and employee programs
