Job summary

Golden Pet Manufacturing in Seward, NE, is seeking an HR Manager to lead recruiting, staffing, and onboarding at our manufacturing plant. You will provide expert guidance on employee relations and support performance review and bonus cycles with clear communication to leaders and employees.

You will partner with plant leaders to identify high-potential talent, work with EHS on workers' comp, and ensure audit-ready records and compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years supervisory HR experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution center environment; PHR/SHRM-CP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruiting, staffing, and onboarding for all plant employees
• Provide guidance on employee relations issues to plant leaders
• Support performance review, merit, and bonus planning cycles and communicate to employees
• Partner with leaders to identify high-potential employees and skills gaps
• Collaborate with EHS on workers' compensation reporting and management
• Maintain audit-ready records and ensure compliance with labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC)
• Provide leadership and development opportunities to the plant HR team
• Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and build relationships with leaders and employees

We’re Looking For A(n):

HR Manager

Location:

Seward, NE

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Manage the recruiting, staffing, and onboarding for all employees at the manufacturing plant
• Provide expertise and direction to leaders on challenging and complex employee relations issues
• Support the plant's performance review, merit planning, and bonus planning cycles, including managing communication to employees and providing direction and training to leaders
• Partner with leaders to identify high potential employees or gaps in skills, build succession depth and bench strength to the teams
• Partner with EHS on the reporting and management of workers' compensation cases
• Maintain accurate and audit-ready fils and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment law, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and applicable wage and hour requirements
• Provide leadership, direction and development opportunities to the plant's HR team
• Maintain a visible, trusted presence on the production floor, building relationships with leaders and employees
• Serve as the facility's primary HR partner to plant leadership on workforce planning, people decisions, employee development and employee programs

Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

• Associate degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field; Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, Business, Psychology, or other related field preferred
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in HR in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience in manufacturing or distribution center environment
• PHR or SHRM-CP is perferred
