Job summary

Deringer Ney in Bloomfield, CT, seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead the people strategy and HR operations across its manufacturing locations. You will partner with corporate and plant leaders to build a safe, compliant, and high-performing workforce, overseeing the full employee lifecycle.

The role requires strategic staffing, compensation, benefits, and development programs while ensuring legal compliance and continuous improvement aligned with ISO 9001.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated HR leadership in manufacturing, distribution, or similarly complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate business goals into workforce and organizational strategies across locations.
• Lead HR policies, programs, and communications across all locations.
• Oversee full employee lifecycle including staffing, onboarding, performance, compensation, benefits, leave, recognition and succession planning.
• Develop staffing and retention strategies addressing production demand, turnover and labor costs.
• Advise leaders on organizational design, change management, and leadership effectiveness.
• Lead workplace investigations and enforce consistent actions.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, wage/hour, leave, records, and related requirements.
• Partner with EH&S, Quality, and Operations to strengthen safety and ISO alignment.
• Use HRIS data to identify trends and improve retention, productivity, and engagement.
• Manage compensation, benefits and total rewards, including vendor management and plan design.
• Oversee HR budget and external partnerships for recruiting, benefits, training, and compliance.
• Build HR team capability through coaching and development.
