Job summary

Valley Steel Stamp in Greenfield, MA is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions at our manufacturing facility. You will support hourly and salaried employees while advising management on employee relations, compliance, workforce planning, and organizational priorities.

The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, and capable of balancing day-to-day employee needs with broader business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
• At least five years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing or hourly workforce.
• Strong knowledge of federal and Massachusetts employment laws.
• Experience with payroll, benefits, recruiting, leaves of absence, and workers' compensation.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred but not required.

• Serve as primary HR contact for employees and managers.
• Oversee payroll administration and timekeeping accuracy.
• Administer benefits programs and leave management.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Advise on policy interpretation and employment practices.
• Ensure compliance with federal and MA employment laws.
• Maintain HRIS records and personnel files.
• Develop and implement workplace policies and training.
• Monitor HR metrics and workforce trends.
• Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
