Job summary

JR Metal Works LLC is seeking an HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle—from hiring and onboarding to development, performance, and offboarding. You’ll work with our People and Performance Lead, teammates, managers, and leadership to keep HR processes organized, compliant, and aligned with our culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable handling confidential employee information.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to build trust and work effectively with employees at all levels.
• Experience with HRIS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding activities.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR information.
• Assist employees and managers with HR questions, policies, benefits, and day-to-day needs.
• Support performance reviews, employee development, recognition, and engagement initiatives.
• Assist with employee relations, performance concerns, and documentation.
• Coordinate leave of absence, attendance, and other employee processes.
• Help maintain HR policies, procedures, forms, and compliance requirements.
• Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee communications.
• Maintain HR systems and records, including BambooHR and other company systems.
• Assist with training coordination, tracking, and employee development programs.
• Support offboarding and termination processes.
• Help collect and maintain HR metrics related to hiring, turnover, attendance, performance, and engagement.
• Partner with managers and leadership to improve the overall employee experience.
