Job summary

Parker Hannifin, a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies, is seeking an HR Generalist II for its onsite manufacturing facility in Michigan. The role covers talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, retention, and separation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field; 2+ years of progressive HR experience.
Demonstrated leadership experience; exposure to manufacturing environments and union/labor relations is beneficial.
Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions and ability to influence across the organization.
Strong communication skills across verbal, written, and presentations to varied audiences.
Ability to build relationships at all levels and operate with integrity.
HR certification in progress or completed is beneficial (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).

Responsibilities

Oversee recruitment by creating requisitions, screening applicants, and managing the recruitment process.
Develop job descriptions and participate in pay data analysis for wage/benefit decisions.
Coach managers on feedback, documentation, and development of team members; support succession planning.
Lead talent reviews and performance assessments, deploying talent management best practices.
Administer engagement surveys and translate findings into action plans for improvement.
Conduct investigations and provide recommendations for fair resolutions of employee relations issues.
Counsel management on conflict resolution and negotiation under ethical guidelines.
Lead organizational training on HR policies, development, and compliance.
Utilize analytics tools to extract insights from talent data and present reports to management.
Coordinate annual benefits enrollment and employee engagement activities; support change management.
