Job summary

Mevion Medical Systems Inc. seeks a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls in a manufacturing environment. You will manage cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory valuation, partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to drive margin improvement.

The role requires a strong background in US GAAP, manufacturing cost analysis, and cross-functional leadership to support audits, budgeting, and strategic decision making.

Qualifications

• BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required; MBA preferred or equivalent working experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting; 2+ years cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong business acumen and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to influence without authority.
• Experience with AI tools to improve processes and production is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Analyze P&L variances, cost drivers, and inventory performance for senior management.
• Own cost accounting, standard costing, overhead absorption, and manufacturing variances.
• Develop policies, controls, and reporting for GAAP compliance and internal controls.
