Job summary

Mevion Medical Systems, Inc. in Littleton, MA is seeking a Plant Controller to lead accounting operations, cost accounting, and manufacturing cost analysis.

You will oversee close processes, strengthen internal controls, and partner with Operations, Supply Chain and Engineering to improve margins and inventory performance. The role requires hands-on leadership, manufacturing accounting experience, knowledge of GAAP, and the ability to drive process improvements with a focus on product costing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required.
• 7+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting.
• 5+ years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with GAAP and close processes; familiarity with medical device manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting staff and mentor team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Own and manage cost accounting, standard costing and inventory valuation.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes per US GAAP.
• Provide actionable insights into product margins and manufacturing costs.
• Develop and improve internal controls and financial reporting processes.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering and Leadership to drive cost reduction and profitability.
