Job summary

Mevion Medical Systems is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, and technical accounting functions.

This role will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, ensuring GAAP-compliant statements and serving as a key partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Executive Leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting.
• 2+ years cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, medical device preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience with AI tools to improve processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and reporting.
• Ensure U.S. GAAP compliance and robust internal controls.
• Oversee cost accounting, standard costing, and inventory valuation.
• Provide analytics on product margins, manufacturing costs, and profitability.
• Mentor accounting staff and drive process improvements.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and executives.
• Support external audits and regulatory filings.
