Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) is seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations in a complex manufacturing environment. You will lead close processes, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with executives to drive profitability and scalable processes.

Responsibilities include standard costing, cost analysis, internal controls, audits, and cash flow management. You will develop the accounting team and optimize ERP systems to enable data-driven decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with high accuracy.
• Deliver accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory standards.
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals with strong controls.
• Lead cost accounting, variance analysis, and cost roll-ups across operations.
• Monitor labor, materials, overhead absorption; optimize inventory valuation.
• Design and improve internal control frameworks; lead audits.
• Manage cash flow, AR/AP, and working capital improvements.
• Build and develop the accounting team and ERP systems for scale.
• Partner with leadership to improve profitability and performance visibility.
