Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing and Equipment Engineering Manager to lead a team on the Waynesboro Operations site. You will design, document, and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment, while coordinating with design, program management, and quality teams to meet cost, schedule, and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 6 years.
• 5+ years of team leadership/supervision experience.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing with industrial machinery.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance; interim Secret clearance required to start; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, document and implement manufacturing processes and instructions.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing routings and standards for schedules, labor, facilities, equipment and materials.
• Install, maintain and repair manufacturing equipment.
• Create and execute preventive maintenance plans and improve equipment readiness.
• Lead a team of 15 engineers; provide technical leadership and mentoring.
• Collaborate with design engineering, program management and quality to ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
