First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to install and qualify new processing equipment, troubleshoot line issues, and drive system improvements to improve throughput and yield.

You will analyze data, design experiments, and report results while collaborating with engineering and production teams. The role requires strong problem-solving, metrology knowledge, and experience with wet chemistry; domestic and international travel is possible.

Qualifications

• Requires strong data analysis and statistics skills.
• Proficient in metrology and measurement practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience writing manufacturing documentation.
• Wet chemistry process experience required.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot day-to-day production and process issues on the line.
• Install and qualify new equipment; maintain gauges.
• Design and run planned process experiments and analyze data.
• Collect daily equipment and product performance data.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to complete projects.
• Mentor and train engineering technicians and operators.
• Identify yield and product performance improvements.
• Develop and enforce SOPs and process control plans.

Formation

Associate's degree in engineering or technical discipline

3+ years First Solar technical experience

6+ years technical work in manufacturing

Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in engineering (no experience required)

Heat treatment / thermal process experience

Journeyman certification or 5+ years journeyman level

10+ years as technician/specialist (certification preferred)
