Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to install and qualify new process equipment and troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues on the production line.

You will identify actions to prevent repeat issues and drive throughput, yield, and product performance improvements. Qualifications include an engineering degree path or equivalent experience, along with strong skills in data analysis, metrology, problem solving, and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems.
• Install and qualify new equipment.
• Maintain gauges.
• Design and execute planned process experiments and analyze data.
• Collect data on equipment performance and product performance.
• Interface with internal and supplier personnel on projects.
• Maintain communication with production and manufacturing engineers.
• Develop training for technicians and operators.
• Identify yield and product performance improvements.
• Develop and maintain process control plans and drawings.
