Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers in producing the human-capable Lunar vehicle. You will oversee build execution, translate engineering into manufacturing work instructions, and drive non-conformance resolution.

The role focuses on manufacturing execution, process development, and tool/equipment definition while ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to standards in a fast‑paced environment at Rocket Park, Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace, or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering.
• Strong commitment to world‑class mission assurance, quality, and attention to detail, modeling safety, integrity, and ownership.
• Ability to work onsite daily in a fast‑paced, hands‑on production environment.
• Willingness to change shifts and work extended hours when required to support production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Enable the success of a team comprised of high‑impact Manufacturing Engineers.
• Provide mentoring, guidance, and support to help engineers develop goals and career paths.
• Establish roles, responsibilities, and accountability for all team members.
• Ensure workflow and priorities are balanced across the team to support program milestones.
• Grow the team by recruiting and hiring top‑performing manufacturing engineers.
• Own manufacturing engineering deliverables across the lifecycle, including process creation and work instructions.
• Support the team in applying robust, consistent engineering fundamentals and processes.
• Coordinate with program managers, operations leaders, and IPT Leads to meet objectives.
• Promote DFMA and PFMEA studies to strengthen feedback between design, build, and test.
• Champion safety culture and mission assurance in manufacturing.
