Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of manufacturing engineers focused on the Lunar Moon lander product lines. The role involves translating engineering concepts into manufacturing instructions, ensuring build quality, and driving continuous improvement on the Space Coast facilities.

The position emphasizes leadership, cross-functional IPT collaboration, and the ability to manage complex build execution in a high-velocity aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering roles.
• 3+ years creating manufacturing work instructions.
• Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers responsible for manufacturing and production of lunar vehicles, subcomponents, or supporting hardware/tooling.
• Build high-performing teams of top manufacturing talent.
• Guide teams through design development in Lunar IPTs including build/flow, process, and manufacturing development.
• Support design trades to enable manufacturability and operational excellence.
