Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Operations team on the Space Coast of Florida. You will lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensuring quality control and optimizing supply chain logistics for production and operations.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing or process engineering, and experience with DFM/ DFA/ DFT and a commitment to high-quality aerospace standards. Relocation is available and training may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering.
• 3+ years creating English work instructions.
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for status in the U.S.
• Ability to work second shift and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Industrialize new products such as solar arrays and avionics.
• Design for manufacturability, assembly, and test.
• Translate requirements into robust manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams.
• Develop manufacturing documentation and inspection plans.
• Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and methods.
• Support root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001.
• Participate in FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reductions.
• Develop expertise in a key specialty area.
