Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager on the Space Coast, FL to lead a team of engineers in lunar vehicle production. You will translate engineering definitions into manufacturing work instructions and drive build execution and non-conformance handling.

The role requires mentoring teams, guiding IPT collaboration, and delivering fabrication specs while maintaining high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years in manufacturing/industrial/process engineering roles.
• 3+ years creating manufacturing work instructions.
• Able to work second shift with flexibility to move shifts as needed.
• Willingness to work extended hours if required.
• Demonstrated ownership in your area of responsibility.
• Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, automotive or similar.
• Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate clearly at all levels; physically able to support production floor activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers responsible for manufacturing and production of lunar vehicles, subcomponents, or supporting hardware/tooling.
• Build high-performing teams of top manufacturing talent; foster a flexible organization.
• Guide teams through design development within Lunar IPTs, including build/flow and manufacturing development.
• Aid Operations Leadership in facilitating effective decision-making on complex, high-impact scenarios.
• Provide adaptive decision-making in a high-velocity aerospace production environment.
• Lead the development of fabrication specifications, AT&L plans, maintenance plans, and Statements of Work.
• Support requirements generation within IPTs, including Interface Control Models (ICMs).
• Support design trades for manufacturability and operational excellence.
• Identify and develop critical manufacturing processes for assembly, integration, testing of lunar vehicles/hardware.
