Job summary

Magna Electronics in Michigan (Holly) seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Post/SMT engineering team, optimizing processes and driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives. You will partner with production, quality, design and supply chain to meet targets and continuously improve manufacturing workflows.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, with SMT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• SMT experience preferred for the Post/SMT role.
• Expertise in optimizing manufacturing processes and improving efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma/Smart X methodologies.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
• Experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment with multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the manufacturing engineering team to optimize processes and ensure efficient production.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing systems and workflows.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma and other techniques to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, quality, design, and supply chain to drive innovation and meet targets.
• Analyze production data to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions for consistency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
