Job summary

Magna International is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead digitization, automation, and smart manufacturing initiatives across our Michigan operations. You will drive Industry 4.0 deployment, improve data visibility, and support continuous improvement with modern manufacturing solutions.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing automation, PLCs/robots, SCADA/MES, and IIoT data analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs and robotics systems.
• Experience with IIoT devices and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation and digitization projects across Magna plants.
• Plan, execute, and validate automation deployments and data analytics.
• Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Maintenance and Production for seamless implementation.
• Develop PFMEAs, process flows and standard work with a digitization-first approach.
• Drive continuous improvement using OEE, downtime analytics and machine data.
