Job summary

Allegion in Greenfield, Indiana is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to contribute to assembly and machining processes in the SAT business unit, gaining hands-on experience in tooling, equipment and process design while supporting new product launches and continuous improvement.

You will work onsite, apply basic lean tools, collect data for OEE, develop work instructions, and interact with engineers and operators, with a final project presenting outcomes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Mechanical/Manufacturing/Electrical/Industrial Engineering).
• Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative in school or work projects.
• Strong interest in manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Observe production processes, identify bottlenecks, and support daily targets.
• Assist on tasks advancing future-state vision (data collection, layout sketches, standard work).
• Participate in Kaizen events, 5S, and lean concepts.
