Allegion is offering a Summer Intern - Manufacturing Engineering in Assembly in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will contribute to assembly, coatings and fabrication processes and support new product launches, applying DFA and LEAN to improve processes.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, currently pursuing a bachelor's in ME/MET, 3D modeling experience, and proficiency with MS Office. Onsite work and cross-functional collaboration are key, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET), or related field.
• Experience or coursework in 3D Modeling (Creo or other modeling package).
• Proficient with MS Suite (Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter attitude; able to manage multiple small tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering solutions for tooling, fixturing and/or controls within Indy Exits process engineering team.
• Design equipment/tooling, quote equipment, present options, and implement with various teams.
• Support robotic automation projects in Assembly operations.
• Help improve Safety, Quality and Delivery in Assembly processes using DFA and LEAN principles.
