Job summary

Allegion in Carmel, IN is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support execution of AME vision: improve manufacturing processes, raise safety and quality, and reduce cost through the innovative application of science and engineering methods.

You will learn to manufacture products more safely, at higher quality, faster, and at lower cost while gaining hands-on experience in an environment recognized for employee engagement and growth.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Preferred completion of 2nd year at minimum in engineering or technology degree program.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives, develop, trial, validate, and document new and existing activities.
• Assist in Lean Manufacturing implementation to streamline processes and reduce waste.
• Support design and review of automation opportunities.
• Engage in data analytics including AI, predictive/prescriptive models, and data interpretation tools.
• Participate in maintenance planning including TPM and predictive maintenance.

Education

Engineering or Technology degree (preferred)
