Job summary

Allegion’s Summer Internship in Manufacturing Engineering is a full-time, 12-week program based at our Indianapolis Exits facility. You will work with engineers to support tooling, processing, and new product launches, applying problem‑solving tools and Lean principles while gaining hands-on experience in finishing processes and plant operations.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (or related fields) with strong analytical skills,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership in school or projects.
• Strong data organization and presentation skills.
• Willingness to learn Lean and process-improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Support Lean initiatives and value stream mapping.
• Assist in process design improvements and data analysis.
• Maintain documentation and logs for processes and SOPs.
• Shadow cross-functional teams across maintenance, materials, and planning.
