Job summary

Allegion Manufacturing Engineering Intern in Greenfield, Indiana will collaborate with manufacturing associates to observe production, identify bottlenecks and support daily targets while applying lean concepts on the shop floor.

You will gain hands-on exposure to tooling, NC programming discussions, process work instructions and a final project with measurable outcomes, mentored by experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong interest in manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with lean concepts (5S, standard work).
• Experience with CAD and MS Office; Power BI and Python preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe production processes, identify bottlenecks, and support daily production targets.
• Assist in projects advancing future-state vision (data collection, layout sketches, standard work docs).
• Participate in Kaizen events, 5S, quick wins and lean tool application.
• Help collect and analyze production and equipment data for OEE tracking and improvements.
• Assist in developing process work instructions, routings, and shop-floor documentation.
• Review CNC programming or machining discussions and provide input where appropriate.
