Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Engines Manufacturing Engineer to own hardware manufacturing instructions including inspection, fabrication, assembly, and test. You will manage build sequences, costs, quality, and schedules across the manufacturing lifecycle.

You will review drawings, approve processes, and implement DFMA/DFX principles while leading test procedures, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvements in a high-velocity aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a manufacturing engineering role or equivalent.
• Lean manufacturing methodology experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings/specifications to develop work instructions and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing work instructions for hardware processes (inspection, fabrication, assembly, test, integration).
• Manage build sequence, cost, quality, and schedule across manufacturing lifecycle.
• Review drawings, approve manufacturing processes, and make go/no-go decisions.
• Drive DFMA and DFX principles into design processes.
• Lead test procedures and operate automated test equipment; troubleshoot anomalies and develop recovery plans.
