Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to own hardware processes across the manufacturing lifecycle at its Huntsville facilities. You will lead process definition, build sequencing, and cost/quality control while collaborating on design iterations to improve manufacturability.

The role requires hands-on hardware experience, lean methods, and the ability to drive improvements in a fast-paced aerospace environment. On-site operations in Huntsville, Alabama, with multi-shift coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing engineering role with ownership of hardware processes.
• Bachelor degree in an engineering field from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing work instructions for hardware processes (inspection, fabrication, assembly, test, integration).
• Manage build sequence, cost, quality, and schedule across manufacturing lifecycle.
• Review drawings and approve manufacturing processes; make go/no-go decisions.
• Drive DFMA and DFX into design processes.
• Generate and manage BOMs, routings, and work instructions for fabrication, assembly, and testing.
