Snap-on is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Murphy, NC to design production tools and machinery, develop new processes, and support new programs with tooling and controls. The role covers setup, operation, and training of equipment to ensure safe, efficient production.

Responsibilities include managing fixture projects, communicating requirements, and driving continuous improvement with quality teams to reduce cost and improve safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with production tooling design and processes.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage fixture and tooling projects for new product launches.
• Determine fixtures and tooling required to meet engineering specs.
• Communicate fixture and tooling requirements and cost to design engineering and management.
• Design fixture and tooling and manage fabrication of components.
• Redesign or replace in-process production equipment.
• Set up new equipment and train users.
• Write procedures for operation of new or existing equipment.
• Assist in training less-experienced staff.
• Work with Quality to resolve product issues.
