Snap-on is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in North Carolina to design production tooling and machines, develop new processes, and support new programs. You will set up equipment, ensure proper operation, and train others to use it effectively.

The role emphasizes tooling design, process improvement, and collaboration with Quality to resolve issues, with a focus on safety, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with mechanical principles, mathematics, and tooling for production equipment.
• Proficient in interpreting drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage fixture and tooling projects for new product launches.
• Determine fixtures and tooling required for new products to meet specifications.
• Communicate fixture and tooling requirements and cost to design engineering and management.
• Design fixtures and tooling and manage fabrication via outsourcing or internal resources.
• Redesign, repair, or replace in-process production equipment.
• Set up new equipment and instruct others on operation.
• Write procedures for operation of new or existing equipment.
• Assist in training of less-experienced personnel.
• Work with Quality to resolve product issues.
• Drive CI to improve safety, quality, and reduce cost.
