A leading global automotive supplier in Old Fort, North Carolina, is seeking a Tooling Engineer to optimize tooling processes and develop specifications. This role requires a Bachelor’s in a Technical Field and a minimum of 5 years automotive experience. The position offers full medical, dental, and vision plans, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits. You will work closely with teams to ensure effective tooling acceptance and manage vendor relationships.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of automotive experience, preferably in a technical role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
3D CAD proficiency preferred in NX and/or SolidWorks and Catia V5.
Responsibilities
Develop tooling line-ups for products/processes.
Create detailed tooling specifications for external sourcing.
Serve as primary technical contact for tooling vendors.
Standardize tooling and components across plants.
Manage tooling spending to budget.
