Job summary

Flowserve Corporation in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to improve processes, tools, and work methods on the shop floor, partnering with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain to boost safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.

The role covers developing shop-floor work instructions, tooling, fixtures, process layouts, and routings; ensuring processes meet customer, engineering, and quality requirements, with opportunities for continuous improvement and

Qualifications

Engineering degree or technologist diploma required.
Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
Experience using 3D modeling or design software such as SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, AutoCAD, or similar.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and procedures.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production flow, layouts, throughput, assembly, and testing.
Experience using SAP, ERP, or similar systems.
Clear communication with production, quality, engineering, and leadership teams.
U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement manufacturing process improvements to safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
Create and maintain shop-floor work instructions, routings, test instructions, checklists, and documentation.
Review customer requirements and engineering documentation to ensure compliance.
Investigate and disposition nonconformance reports with cross-functional teams.
Design tooling, fixtures, and drawings to support machining, assembly, welding, testing, and material handling.
