Job summary

Moog Inc seeks a Toolmaker to join the Murphy, NC facility. The role requires experienced tooling capabilities, including tool and die work, precision machining and interpreting drawings.

You will support production through tool construction, maintenance and calibration, ensuring safety and high quality results. Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, or equivalent ability to follow instructions in English, and at least seven years in tooling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Otherwise demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Specializes in construction, repair, maintenance, and calibration of machine shop tools, jigs, fixtures, stamping dies, molds, and instruments.
• Operates various machine tools and performs layout, fitting, and assembling parts.
• Receives drawings and requests from foreman or engineers on requirements.
• Analyses mentally, sketches, consults handbooks as required.
• Cuts material from stock or orders.
• Draws tools from tool crib and performs machining.
• Performs heat treating/grinding or other processes to include stamping dies and running first article.
