Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, Supplier Development to optimize quality, cost, and delivery of satellite hardware. You will collaborate across design, materials, and manufacturing to ensure supplier readiness for NPI and production.

You will lead root cause analyses, define supplier requirements, and drive improvements with suppliers while coordinating with procurement and engineering teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing, supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, or design engineering.
• Internship experience acceptable.
• On-site in Redmond, WA.

Responsibilities

• Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing to understand part design intent.
• Support procurement to source parts with supplier competencies.
• Define supplier technical and quality requirements for NPI and production.
• Lead root cause analysis to resolve supplier quality issues.
• Implement PPAP with selected suppliers to enable rate production.
• Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to drive improvements.
• Identify potential new suppliers and capabilities.
• Drive cost reductions and cycle-time improvements.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and communication.
