Job summary

UMC in Monticello, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to shape our precision parts and collaborate with a skilled team under a Senior Engineer. You’ll optimize processes, quote work, and drive cost‑effective solutions while growing your career and upholding our core values of Great People, Going Beyond, and Growing.

You’ll support development of manufacturing plans, tooling, and CNC programs, ensuring compliance to customer specs and ISO/AS standards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years in manufacturing, quality, or related roles.
• Foundational knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100.
• Developing knowledge of SPC and MSA principles with guided execution.
• Ability to follow structured problem‑solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead engineers in cost quoting by coordinating with team members.
• Support development of manufacturing processes and ERP entries.
• Help ensure processes comply with customer specs and industry standards.
• Collaborate with Quality and other teams to establish inspection plans.
• Participate in continuous improvement and change-initiative activities.
