Job summary
Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Taunton, MA to develop, optimize, and launch manufacturing processes for complex products. This onsite role collaborates with engineering, operations, and customers to improve production efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including NPI activities.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing, hands-on NPI experience, and strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in a production manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on with New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge of Lean principles: Kaizen, 5S.
- Ability to read GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Support NPI activities including process development and production readiness.
- Conduct root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methods.
- Collaborate with design, quality, and operations teams.
- Review engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Work with contract manufacturers on improvements.
- Participate in customer-facing discussions and provide technical support.
- Develop work instructions and manufacturing standards.
