Job summary
Top Prospect Group is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer in New Britain, CT to support and improve operations within an assigned product line. This onsite role focuses on optimizing processes, enhancing capability, and driving continuous improvement with safety and quality in mind.
You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to meet delivery, cost, and performance goals, while mentoring operators and supporting NPI and process validation activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field required.
- 3–7 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with root-cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and FMEA.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
- Experience working with ERP systems and understanding CP/CPK and SPC.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Support stable and efficient production processes to meet production plan.
- Provide technical support to operators, supervisors, and maintenance staff.
- Assist with equipment installation, qualification, and troubleshooting.
- Train employees on new processes, equipment, and quality standards.
- Lead process improvements to reduce setup times and scrap.
