Job summary

Actalent in South Bend, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support new product introductions, drive process improvements, and optimize manufacturing operations in a growing production environment.

You will lead NPI activities from planning through production, develop and refine methods, analyze performance data, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance to boost quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a mechanical product manufacturing environment (ISO:9001 certified).
• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Experience utilizing 3D CAD software supporting tooling, fixtures, equipment, and process implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support new product introduction and launch activities from planning through production implementation.
• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing methods, processes, and workflows.
• Analyze production data and operational performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis activities to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, maintenance, and leadership teams to improve operational performance.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process instructions, and production standards.
• Support the implementation of new equipment, tooling, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
• Utilize ERP systems to support production planning, manufacturing data, and process management.
• Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel as needed.
