Job summary

South Bay Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for precision parts. You will drive process improvements, support new product introductions, and collaborate across teams to ensure quality and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing or process engineering, strong GD&T, Lean methods, and experience with SolidWorks. A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; advanced degrees are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, especially with mechanical components.
• Lean manufacturing, process improvement, and NPI experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to transition new products into manufacturing.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Create and maintain BOMs, work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and process documents.
• Investigate and troubleshoot manufacturing, engineering, production, and quality issues; escalate as needed.
• Provide technical support to machining, fabrication, assembly, and quality teams for daily operations.
• Analyze processes and recommend cost reductions and throughput improvements.
• Develop and deliver operator training on processes and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and production to meet objectives.
• Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
