Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Production Engineer in Overland Park, KS to lead NPI, optimize assembly processes, and drive Lean improvements in a high-volume electromechanical environment.

You will develop manufacturing docs, support preproduction, work with suppliers, and collaborate with design, quality, and operations to ensure smooth design-to-production transitions and robust cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Several years of experience as a Production Engineer in volume electromechanical assembly.
• Hands-on with NPI, DFM/DFA, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Experience with quality control measures and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NPI and smooth transfer from design to production.
• Develop, document, and maintain processes, work instructions, and routings.
• Lead Lean improvements to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Provide day-to-day technical support on the production floor and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with design, quality, operations, and suppliers to ensure readiness and quality.
