Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our on-site team in St Augustine, FL. The role focuses on designing manufacturing processes, defining build sequences, and authoring clear work instructions to guide technicians on the production floor.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related field) with hands-on production experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 1 year of work experience in manufacturing OR Master's with 0 years of experience.
• Experience reading/interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and/or schematics and symbols.
• Experience working hands-on in a production assembly environment.
• Ability to work any shift or extended work week as business needs require.
• Ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret aircraft design requirements for manufacturability and translate into clear manufacturing work instructions.
• Define build processes with Design Engineering, Production, Tool Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Quality.
• Develop, release, and maintain Manufacturing Engineering documentation (work instructions, visual aids, BOM).
• Identify processes and tooling to improve efficiency, quality, and ergonomics.
• Provide technical liaison support to production personnel for troubleshooting and nonconformances.
• Investigate nonconformances and develop compliant repair procedures for rework.
