Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring an Associate Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Level 1) or Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Level 2) for Palmdale, CA. Roles cover system development, verification, and integration across manufacturing readiness levels, with emphasis on cost, risk, and schedule management.

Responsibilities include leading proposals, transitioning systems to production, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required or able to obtain.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements and plan manufacturing system development and integration.
• Verify and validate manufacturing systems; evaluate costs and ROI.
• Lead phases from concept to production and sustainment; drive continuous improvement.
• Support technical proposals, SOW writing, and cost/schedule management.
• Ensure successful transition of developed systems into production spaces.
