Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking Manufacturing Engineer roles to join our on-site team in St Augustine, FL. Engineers will design and implement manufacturable build plans, write clear work instructions, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure aircraft are built to design and delivered on schedule.

Responsibilities include defining processes, tooling, and documentation; supporting production; and resolving issues in real time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 1 year of manufacturing experience or Master's degree with no experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience reading electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Hands-on experience in a production assembly environment
• Willingness to work any shift
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and handle PPE and lifting requirements
• Ability to obtain the final U.S. Government Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret aircraft design requirements for manufacturability and translate them into clear manufacturing work instructions
• Partner with multiple teams to define build processes and tooling requirements
• Develop, release, and maintain manufacturing engineering documentation
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
• Provide technical liaison support to resolve build issues
• Investigate nonconformances and develop repair procedures
• Deliver process training to production and support personnel
• Support site safety initiatives related to manufacturing processes
