Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Clearfield, UT seeks a Manager Manufacturing Engineer 3 to lead a growing manufacturing assembly team. You will oversee budgets and day-to-day management for 50–90 engineers and 4–6 engineering managers, driving process development and production excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years in production assembly/fabrication (including composites, metallic, coatings)
• Master's Degree with 5+ years in production assembly/fabrication
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
• Active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with BI in last 6 years or Continuous Evaluation)
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within a reasonable period

Responsibilities

• Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies and equipment
• Arranges machines within plant facilities for optimal layout and efficiency
• Specifies operation sequences and fabrication procedures for tools and equipment
• Adapts designs to factory conditions and inspects machinery performance for quality
• Develops processes applicable to statistical process control and related techniques
• Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and equipment utilization
• Ensures compliance with regulations and quality standards
