Entegris, located in California, seeks an Engineer I, Manufacturing Engineer to improve product flow, quality, and efficiency. You will define standards, train personnel, and lead lean-sigma initiatives while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with operations and engineering on new products, with a strong focus on process improvements and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Strong ability to detect quality defects.
• Lean Manufacturing Certification or experience.
• Experience creating routings, work instructions, ECR/ECO processes.
• Strong ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft).
• Excellent written & verbal communication.
• Intermediate Excel: pivot tables, v-lookup, macros.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing processes and implement new techniques to improve product flow and quality.
• Create/revise part instructions and routings; train production personnel.
• Work with production to achieve on-time shipping and reduce lead times.
• Lead lean-sigma projects to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Promote continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Develop ROI data for equipment changes and coordinate implementation.
• Develop assembly techniques and cost-reduction plans.
• Participate in 6S and Kaizen activities; maintain safe practices.
• Author/review SOPs, work instructions, test specs.
• Support New Product Development teams and release to manufacturing.
