Job summary

Daikin Applied, a leader in HVAC solutions, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Faribault, MN facility. You will collaborate with quality, supply chain, and maintenance to streamline production and lead cost-reduction events, mentoring engineers and driving lean improvements.

You will participate in design-for-manufacturability, develop work instructions, and manage equipment projects from inception through training, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial/ manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Solidworks, AutoCAD 2D, MS Office and MS Project experience.
• Sheet metal fabrication and assembly using modern manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline production and lead continuous improvement events.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and lead organizational initiatives.
• Analyze work samples, establish labor standards, and estimate production times and costs.
• Analyze operational data to optimize workforce utilization and layout for efficient design.
• Propose strategies to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality while aligning with lean principles.
• Create work instructions, training checklists, and safety-focused process documentation with the ME team.
• Support NPI teams and provide manufacturing support to product design and tooling.
• Define equipment/tool design, solicit quotes, and manage projects end-to-end.
