Job summary

Daikin Comfort Technologies North America Inc. seeks a Production Engineer 3 to drive continuous improvement of HVAC manufacturing processes, with emphasis on cost reduction, DOEs, 6 Sigma, and design change processing. Mentors junior engineers and coordinates cross-functional teams to deliver on-time capital projects.

The role requires strong knowledge of lean methods, process analysis, and manufacturing documentation, with experience in high-volume environments and equipment uptime initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years minimum experience in a production/manufacturing engineer role with process design and implementation in HVAC/appliance environments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Systems Engineering required.
• Masters Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish continuous improvement goals and execute action plans.
• Lead DOE/6 Sigma analyses and implement Kaizen activities.
• Collaborate with design engineers to revise HVAC product designs for manufacturability.
• Develop and manage project schedules for product launches or design changes.
• Provide manufacturing technical resource to cross-functional teams.
• Coach junior engineers and technicians and support staff.
• Coordinate CAPEX projects from quotes to CARs and PO issuance.
