Job summary

Daikin Applied, Staunton, VA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join an in-office team supporting continuous improvement in a high‑volume HVAC manufacturing environment. You will analyze work processes, lead kaizen events, develop labor standards, and collaborate on NPI, PFMEA, and capital equipment projects while focusing on safety, cost reduction, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology or manufacturing engineering.
• 2–4 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Sheet metal fabrication and assembly experience preferred.
• SolidWorks/AutoCAD/MS Project/Minitab proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in continuous improvement and cost reductions.
• Use work measurement tools to develop labor utilization standards.
• Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, workflow, and apply lean principles.
• Lead kaizen events for continuous improvement and safety/quality focus.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop production processes and NPIs.
• Provide equipment design specs, quotes, and capital project oversight.
