Job summary

Daikin Applied in Owatonna, MN seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I to support process improvements, layout optimization, and Lean initiatives under minimal supervision. You will perform time studies, develop work instructions, and help implement safety, quality, and cost-reduction projects.

A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology or Industrial Manufacturing Engineering is required; SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent required.
• SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D, MS Office and MS Project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering expertise to support the management team and drive process improvements.
• Perform time studies to identify bottlenecks and optimize line flow using lean principles.
• Analyze operational data to optimize equipment layout and workspace efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve manufacturability in new product development and create production process guidelines.
