Job summary

Magna Electronics in Holly, Michigan, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production with engineering tools for new products and process optimization. You will lead cell design, set resource and material flow, and apply DOE to improve throughput and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Three (3) years’ experience in engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and related techniques.
• Knowledge of machine design/equipment engineering with controls.
• Knowledge of materials, machine dynamics.
• PFMEA, control plan, process flow experience preferred.
• Understanding of machine drawings/blueprints.
• Experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment with multitasking.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and office software skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Supports manufacturing in resolving production issues and provides engineering tools for new products.
• Leads process design to optimize product flow in the manufacturing cell.
• Determines resource requirements and material flow using IE techniques and internal standards.
• Performs DOE analyses to optimize operating parameters for efficient cell performance.
• Monitors project objectives and timelines; collaborates to reduce costs and improve throughput.
