Job summary

Magna Electronics in Holly, Michigan seeks a Maintenance Team Lead to diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment, mentor technicians, and escalate issues as needed. The role combines hands-on maintenance with leadership and training responsibilities in a fast-paced production environment.

Ideal candidates bring at least 5 years in manufacturing maintenance, PLC proficiency, and experience with robotics or vision systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years hands on manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Previous experience working as a production maintenance technician preferred.
• Ability to lead and develop others through support, training.
• Must have working knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and their associated software programs.
• Experience with Robotics, Vision Systems, electrical schematics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for maintenance technicians.
• Assist in the development of employees using work history, on-the-job training.
• Use blueprints and schematics to wire new or used equipment, install and replace components.
• Repair machinery to satisfy all specifications, manufacturer’s requirements, and all applicable codes; repair equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Collect input from operators, techs, and supervisors to troubleshoot and evaluate the work order.
• Machine start-ups: assist in initial start-up of machinery, test functions and safety devices.
• Obtain work order and necessary parts and tools to complete repair and/or work order.
• Participate and implement process improvement suggestions to support continuous improvement.
• Orientates new team members on processes.
• Ensure methods and procedures are adhered to, maintaining uptime efficiency.
• Support current production as required.
• Other duties as needed.
